Do you love eating street food? “Yung lasang pang masa, swak pa sa bulsa.” If you are like that then you are one of us. Street food reminds us that we don’t have to spend too much money to satisfy our tummies.

Sese snack house is located at Balusbos, Malay, Aklan. A newly opened snack house that offers varieties of snacks like siomoai, barbecue, fishballs, kikiam, batchoy and many more. At some days, they would offer the famous chicken skin and baga as a part of their menu. I used to wonder how it tastes but after trying it I could not help myself but to want more.

Sese snack house is an along the road resto. You will see some beautiful paintings inside while eating your favorite snack. At night thay would play the latest soundtracks that everyone can relate. The lights and the cold breeze of air will set your mood everytime you visit there.

All food business starts from small ones but when the food tastes good and everyone hears about it, it would certainly start growing. I hope that you could visit this place after quarantine ends because J assure you that it is worthy. Let us continue supporting our local businesses.

I am one of those people who is curious why the box of pizza is square and not cirlce. Some says that circle box is too hard to make and pricey but for me it does not matter as long as the pizza inside would make me drool from how it looks and how great it tastes.

Beavons is located at Sambiray, Malay, Aklan. It is along a road restaurant that serves varieties of food. It is famous for its seafood talaba but for me I love and I prefer their pizza.

They serve it fast and cook it well. The place is small but it would make you give a certain feeling of being at home. You are home because of the place, a tv infront of you, a comfortable table to eat and a chair to sit. A simple place but can satisfy your cravings for pizza. A complete resto indeed for pizza lovers out there. A must try.

Can you imagine eating few feet above while overlooking the sea? A place where you can almost touch the sky? For people who have fear of heights, this place is not for you. To me this place is fit for those who wants to relax, unwind and has the love for high places.

Sotera Cafe is located at Caticlan, Malay, Aklan. A gateway to the renowned island of Boracay. They offer rooms for accommodating their customers especially for people who came to visit the island. Navarro Hotel has a rooftop where Sotera Cafe is located.

Upon entering, you’d be amazed with a greeny environment because the place is surrounded with varieties of plants. You are indeed above everything. As you watch every corner, you could see the whole Caticlan and the Island of Boracay. What I like the most about this place aside from its food is the ocean view below.

Although it takes time before the food arrives, it is still worth the wait. Every inch of the food tastes well despite being pricey. So if you want to go here make sure to have enough in your pockets. I love how they cook the Chicken Sandwich which I like the most and is my favorite snack there that satisfies me everytime.

Sotera Cafe is a great Cafe! You can enjoy eating while looking at the best island in the world and of course the sunset and cold breeze itself.

All we want is a delicious food and a nice place. Can you imagine if that place exist? Where can it be? Maybe for others they find it faraway but remember this can be anywhere in your place.

Pizza House Darki is located at Argao Malay, Aklan. At first you couldn’t recognize that it is a restaurant . You’d think it is a private own place because of a quiet scenery inside. When you go further, you’d be amaze within the place. For people who love waves, good music and sunset this is for you.

Aside from the majestic view, the food doesn’t disappoint you as well. They serve it clean and fast.Cooked well and taste good.They offer variety of drinks that if taste it could bring you to different countries around the world.But be careful of drinking too much you could be drunk as well.Drink moderately

A quiet,peaceful and relaxing place that anyone of you could experience if you visit this place. So pack your homies and go here after this quarantine ends hopefully you’ll never forget this.

The place is romantic for couples who want to relax and to be free with problems, a highly recommend place.Another food serye with this lovely girl 😍

Sea side restaurant is located at Poblacion,Malay,Aklan. A famous restaurant in Malay serving a lot of variety of foods from breakfast,snacks,lunch and dinner.The food doesn’t disappoint you especially the place.

Upon entering, you’d be amazed because the place is so relaxing. Fresh air, nipa huts for accommodating their customers and especially it’s name it self “sea side” a shore behind.

The best food they serve is“Sisig”. A delightful taste that wherever you go you want to find it.For snacks they serve “Lomi” a delicious soup with meatballs that make it better.Sea side is a place that could accommodate your family,friends,love ones because it is now renovated.Has a room rented if you want to sleep within the night.

Sea side is a place that satisfy your cravings for the ocean. You feel the breeze and hear the ocean waves. So come here to visit it’s worth the experience.

Who would’ve thought that you’d find a piece of history while enjoying a meal. Hear good vintage music and feel the vibe of the good old days of the America’s. Welcome to Retro Café the 50’s and a strip of American history.

Upon entering, you will be transported back in time. See old pioneering cars and country vibes. A complete joy for the youth. Despite of its old stature, it is very much embraced by modern teens.

Not only are its designs great, it’s meals does not disappoint. Very appetizing meals that’ll give you a trip to the flavor train. Take time to consume your meal. Enjoy every bite. Always indulge the scenery.

The luxurious silverware and fine china of a five star restaurant, can never compare to food cooked from home. To eat like a king and experience utter indulgence. This is what I strive for when leaving my humble abode. After all food binds a family and creates a culture.

IPa-meal-ya is a newly open restaurant located at Argao,Malay,Aklan.Same as my previous blog articles, I discovered this restaurant with the help of my social media platforms particularly facebook. I often see this restaurant in my news feed.

In my search I encountered Pa-meal-ya. An eco-friendly restaurant. Where everything is based upon what nature gives. From the rich seas to the luscious earth. Native-themed and will give you a unique experience.

This is truly a place to visit and experience home-like meals away from home. All you got to do is pack the squad and fam, and never forget to bring your appetites.

When I was still on my Senior High school at Conperey Integrated Learning School. I used to ate a lot from a newly open food store known as Bungsan Kitchen located at Union, Nabas Aklan. The only store that provides fabulous foodstuff and has a good taste of music on their playlist.

Before, the place is quite too small to accommodate many costumers. Although the abience inside of the store is worth the attention you could relax while listening to their music, smell of food when they cook and quotes located at the wall. Currently they can now accommodate a lot of costumers because they widen there place and it is remarkable. You can now move freely, enjoying the lights at night and you’d be amazed if you go there!so watch it for your self!!

Aside from a good place they offer great food. Different “Silogs” for breakfast, Main courses for lunch and dinner, Beverages, Desserts, Sandwiches etc. And to me, the best snack they offer is their “Chicken Sandwich” because the chicken and veggies are cooked well inside that makes me felt satisfied every time I tasted it.

Because of Covid-19 virus that we are facing right now, Bungsan Kitchen is now offering delivery stuff. For all residents of Malay and Nabas who craves for their food, you can now contact them through their social media page. And hopefully they can accommodate you all.

When you go out to eat, it is comforting to order the same thing over and over again but there’s nothing better than experiencing new restaurants and new food with people who are just as excited as you are. After visiting the bubble tea shop in the island, I have thought of visiting more local and independent restaurants. Honoré bakery caught my attention. It is located in Kalibo, Aklan and it offers glorious pastries of every kind. Honore offers a variety of pastries that will surely take you to different places. They have wide range of pastries from breads, cookies, fruit tarts, a section for doughnuts, cinammon, croissants, danishes and pain au chocolat of France!

Upon entering, you will be welcomed by the aroma of freshly baked viennoiserie wafted through the air. It has a garden where you can eat your ordered pastries and enjoy the beauty of nature all in one! The interior of the store is a product of artistry and indeed reflects the Aklanon culture and talents.

I had a hard time choosing what to order because all the pastries looked enticing and it’s too good to ignore how they were beautifully baked. In the end, I ordered Vanilla Muffin with Almonds, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Ube Cheese roll, Spicy Pork Floss and Pain Au Chocolat. The muffin has crunchy almonds and it is nicely dense and sturdy making it a great grab-and-go treat. Their spicy pork floss is fluffy and savory. One bite and I have tasted the savory pork floss and super soft buns. Filipino craze over ube cheese roll is still on and Honoré has it! It has a soft texture on the inside and crusty outside. It also has a melty cheese filling that melts in your mouth. My favorite among my orders is their Pain Au Chocolat. It is buttery, chocolate-filled but not very sweet and is extremely delicious! A must try! For the beverages, they offer a variety of milkshakes but my favorite among them is their Strawberry milkshake and I assure you that so far, it is the best milkshake I have ever tasted.

Honoré bakery does not only give you a taste of good pastries but also allows you to feel the warmth of being at home with the aroma of their freshly baked breads and the peacefulness of the place. I highly recommend it for those who are tired and stressed from work and students who wish to find some peace from academic pressure. With dining and visiting the place, you are actually helping a fellow Akeanon. It is important to support local eateries for they are your neighbors chasing their dreams. It is rated highly because it is special, community oriented and has personalized service. Rest assured that it is worth it and you will find joy, pleasure and satisfaction of eating in Honore.
